Fudge speaks on Voting Rights Act and Supreme
Court tonight
Ex-Y-town
mayor Jay Williams will also appear on Zack Reed show
Congresswoman Marcia Fudge, [D-11, Warrensville
Heights] is scheduled to appear tonight on “The Forum with Zack Reed”. She is
expected to talk about the Voting Rights Act and the pending Supreme Court case
likely to determine its future. Fudge is the current chair of the Congressional
Black Caucus.
Former
Youngstown mayor Jay Williams, now the White House deputy director of
the Office of Intergovernmental Affairs, will also be on the
show, to talk about sequestration and what it means to northeast Ohioans.
Fudge’s appearance likely trumps the show’s
earlier plans to talk about the recently announced state takeover of the
Cleveland school district. Reports indicate the state may be backing away from
aspects of the usual takeover in order to give the Cleveland Transformation
Plan a chance to work. The district’s voters passed a levy in November to fund
the plan for four years.
Reed’s weekly show airs from 8-10PM Sundays on WTAM/1100 AM. Listeners can call in at 216.578.1100.
